Sales Manager – Central & Western Europe

 

Company Overview

Ilium Composites manufactures and distributes fiberglass reinforcement, primarily for closed mould processes using a new, patented process technology. In existing markets, Ilium is able to offer product features not previously available, while creating new, innovative solutions for a diverse application range. The main processes supplied today are in Light RTM, Vacuum infusion and Pultrusion. Ilium Composites is looking to expand its global sales force in order to exceed its ambitious global growth targets.

 

Key Responsibilities

Ilium Composites requires a person that has proven business development/marketing experience, and a solid technical background in closed mould processes. The individual will manage the existing direct and distribution accounts, with a strong focus on rapid sales growth with the territory.

 

Reporting to the Business Development Manager, this is a remote position which requires the individual to operate autonomously, whilst representing the needs and strategies of company at all times.

 

Responsibilities include:

          1.         Organises and manages business within the territory

2.         Conducts customer visits and meetings, oversees customer tests and acts as technical contact during trials

3.         Meets with sales organization, distributors and customers on a regular basis to keep them informed about product and corporate developments   

4.         Resolves problems and responds to specific requirements of customers 

5.         Identifies new growth opportunities in both existing and new markets

6.         Represents Ilium at various trade shows and assists in their preparation

7.        Assists in the development of the Sales, Marketing and Budget plan

8.        Achieves sales target in assigned region 

9.        Quarterly visits to the Company facility in Bahrain

10.      Extensive travel within the region

 

Experience

·               Strong knowledge of all standard composites manufacturing processes, especially RTM, vacuum infusion and Pultrusion

·               Good understanding of technical reinforcements and competitor capabilities

·               Experience in solution selling with a good aptitude for technology and innovative products

·               Good customer network within the territory

·               Engineering, Science, or Marketing degree with composite technical training also of interest   

·               Demonstrated customer focus and sales success.

·               Strong leadership skills, strategic thinker, decision making & problem solving skills

·               Excellent English verbal, written, plus one other European language preferred

·               High level of motivation and initiative with ability to work independently.

Production and Quality Operator

Key Responsibilities

A Production and Quality Operator is involved in the production line process while identifying and implementing visual quality. Quality operators aim to ensure that the products Ilium produce meet quality specifications.

 

Responsibilities include:

 

Quality job duties:

-      Ensure all products meet Ilium and customer specification criteria

-      Pull damaged or ineffective material off the line

-      Maintain quality records

-      Perform mechanical property tests for new products

-      Report quality failures, issues and trends to Director

 

General job duties:

-      Assist in adjustment of parameters of winder and cutters for continuity in production

-      Anticipate variations required for each production order

-      Report anomalies to team leader

-      Ensure full compliance with all regulatory Health and Safety parameters

 

Secondary duties:

-     Assist team leader in setting adjustments and loading raw materials for production

-     Clean machinery when production is complete

-     Assist maintenance team during repairs

 

Experience

·      Previous experience in manufacturing and/or quality control

·      Good English verbal and written skills

·      High level of motivation and initiative with ability to work independently
